Get involved...
Registration for the quaterly kererū count and phenology study is now closed and we are no longer collecting kererū sightings. However you can still get involved in the Auckland Kererū Project by taking part in the garden plant survey.
You do not have to see kererū in your garden or have any of the listed plants to take part in the garden plant survey, the only requirement is that the data be collected from within the study area, which is shown in green on the map below. The survey should not take more than 2-5 minutes to complete and you can find out more information or complete the survey by clicking here.

Where would we like data from?
From anywhere within our study area, which is shown in green on the map. This area includes Auckland City, the North Shore, eastern parts of Waitakere and northern parts of Manukau, basically areas north of Papakura and south of Torbay/Albany. Please only pass on your garden plant information if you live within the study area shown.
